Ties with Catholic imagery on them

Meet Ani,
Creator of Ani’s Handmade Goods

Ani is a wife, mother, and Catholic convert, living in a little mountain town on some land that her husband uses to raise sheep, chickens and soon pigs. She started sewing as a hobby, but she soon was making more items than she could use or give away, at the same time that her family was in need financially, and so her hobby turned into a little shop. She dreams of being the "village seamstress" who is known among the community for helping fellow Catholics with whatever sewing needs they have. She hopes to develop into making modest dresses and clothing for women and children. Her ideas for garments and head coverings come from meditating on the hidden life of Our Lady, especially the details about how she dressed and carried herself, and her perfect motherhood, beauty, femininity, and deep humility.

Ani's Handmade Goods features tradition and feminine styles of aprons and headcoverings inspired by Our Lady, as well as hand embroidered Catholic neckties for men, Catholic embroidery kits, and various smaller items such as rosary pouches, bookmarks and baby clothing. One of her most unique items is the 'Alma Mater' apron which is a full front and back coverage apron and can be worn two ways: as a loose fitting, comfortable apron, or as a wrap-around dress style. Similarly, the 'Ancilla Headwraps', named after the Handmaid of the Lord, are made of comfortable, opaque fabrics and are designed to tie up in a way that will not slip off, even while wrestling babies and toddlers at Mass. They can be worn in three ways: as a veil, as a headwrap, or as a headband with adjustable thickness.
